Seongyojang House is the former upper class residence of Lee Nae-beon (1703-1781) and his family in Gangneung, Gangwon State. It was designated as a National Folklore Cultural Heritage in 1967. The one-syllable word "Seon" in Seongyojang means boat. Gyeongpoho Lake was right in front of Seongyojang House at the time it was built, thus making is accessible by boat. Seongyojang House has all the features of a typical upper class residence during the Joseon period. The complex even has a large pond with a pavilion named Hwallaejeong Pavilion. While the building still blends beautifully with the surrounding nature, Seongyojang House has been well-preserved and is considered a valuable resource in the historical research of living conditions of upper class households during the Joseon dynasty.

Cheongok Golden Bat Cave in Donghae is the only natural cave in Korea located in a downtown area. Estimated to have been created 400 to 500 million years ago, the cave is known to serve as a habitat for the endangered golden bats. The cave's total length stretches for 1,510 meters, with only 810 meters of the cave open to the public while the rest of cave remains protected for preservation purposes. The cave features ceiling craters, one of which is the longest in Korea, along with stalactite curtains, travertine terraces, stalactite cascades, and many other fantastic rock formations. The cave's unique features provide a grand spectacle for tourists and great speleological samples for researchers. A 785-meter walkway was made using the sinkhole created by dissolved limestone to help visitors get a better understanding of cave formations.

Hyanghohaebyeon Beach is a white sandy beach backed by pine forest complete with a campground. The bus stop was made for filming, but remains as a photo zone.

Samyang Roundhill welcomes visitors with refreshing, pure breeze and wide-open pastures, a perfect setting for a nature excursion. The Farm is a sanctuary for gentle herbivores like sheep, cows, and ostriches, living freely in this pristine environment. A farm ranch owned by Samyang Foods of the popular Buldak franchise, it opened in 1972 to provide quality protein to the people. In 2007, it became open to the public as a tourist destination. Not only can visitors enjoy feeding the animals, but it is the only ranch in Gangwon State where visitors can watch sheep herding against the backdrop of the beautiful scenic landscape. Merch, desserts, and other Samyang Foods product souvenirs are available at the gift shop.

Anbandegi Village is a mountainside village located at an elevation of 1,100 meters. The village name is a combination of the words "anban," which refers to the large and oval wooden platform used when pounding rice cakes, and "degi," which means flat land. Most of the village lands are covered with cabbage farms formed along the mountain slope. The steep slopes make it impossible to use farm machinery, which means all the cabbages farms are the result of manual work by the villagers.
