MyTripKorea provides Korean tourism data from official sources. You can browse content without an account, but registration unlocks additional features.

We show official information from public APIs and editorial notes so that travelers can research destinations in their own language.

When you create an account, we collect and store the following information to provide personalized services.

• Email address: Used for account verification, password recovery, and important service notifications.
• Name: Displayed on your profile and used for personalization.
• Password: Stored securely using industry-standard encryption (hashed and salted).
• Social Login (Google, X/Twitter): If you sign in with a social account, we receive your email and name from that provider. We do not access your social account password.
• Authentication is handled by Supabase, a trusted third-party service that complies with modern security standards.

Beyond account data, we only process the information needed to answer your request in real time.

• Search keywords are used to fetch live results and then cleared once the response is delivered.
• Locale, device language, and timezone help us serve the right translation, but they are not stored permanently.
• If you email us, your name and contact details remain inside our inbox for up to 30 days while we respond.

You may leave comments on detail pages using a nickname and password. The password allows you to delete your own comments later.

To prevent spam, we use Google reCAPTCHA v3, which may collect certain data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

• Nickname: displayed publicly with your comment.
• Password: stored securely (hashed) and used only for comment deletion.
• IP address: temporarily logged for rate limiting and spam prevention.
• reCAPTCHA: collects device and browser information to verify human activity.

MyTripKorea partners with trusted third-party services to enhance your travel experience. Our partners include Viator (tours and activities), Klook (eSIM and pocket WiFi rental), Trip.com (flights, hotels, and train reservations), SafetyWing (travel insurance), and Tiqets (attraction tickets). When you click on a partner link, you will be redirected to their respective websites.

We may earn a commission from purchases made through these links at no additional cost to you.

• Clicking an affiliate link redirects you to the partner's website, where their privacy policy applies.
• We do not receive or store your payment information or booking details.
• Partner websites may use their own cookies and tracking technologies.
• Any personal data you provide during booking is handled by the partner, not MyTripKorea.
• Klook: Handles your eSIM activation, pocket WiFi rental booking, pickup details, and payment information according to their privacy policy.
• Trip.com: Handles your flight search, hotel reservations, train bookings, and payment information according to their privacy policy.
• SafetyWing: Handles your insurance application, personal details, and claims according to their privacy policy.
• Tiqets: Handles your attraction ticket purchases, entry reservations, and payment information according to their privacy policy.

Our AI Trip Planner uses third-party AI services to generate personalized travel itineraries. When you use this feature, your travel preferences are processed by these AI providers.

We use Google Gemini and Meta Llama (via OpenRouter) to generate itineraries. Your personal information (name, email) is never sent to these AI services.

• Data sent to AI: Travel dates, destinations, budget level, companion type, and selected themes.
• Data NOT sent to AI: Your name, email, account information, or any personally identifiable information.
• Generated itineraries are stored in our database and linked to your account if logged in.
• If you share an itinerary publicly, it becomes visible to other users along with your display name.
• You can delete your itineraries at any time from your account.
• AI providers process data according to their respective privacy policies (Google Privacy Policy, Meta Privacy Policy).

MyTripKorea relies on essential cookies to remember the language you selected and to secure the session.

Optional analytics (when enabled) aggregate page views and are not tied to a personal identity.

• Required cookies: keep locale, accessibility preferences, and authentication tokens for editors.
• Performance cookies: collect anonymous usage trends to improve search relevance.

Server logs with IP addresses are rotated within 30 days.

Emails and support threads are deleted after the conversation is closed unless law requires longer retention.

You can request removal or export of any direct communication by contacting us.
