Healience Seonmaeul (힐리언스 선마을)

Healience Seonmaeul sits on Jongjasan Mountain in Hongcheon, Gangwon-do. It was built at 250 meters above sea level as it was inspired by the high altitude of longevity villages worldwide. In the beginning, it was developed as the first wellness center in Korea and has now become a well-aging and healing resort. The village is led by Dr. Si-hyung Lee, the most renowned psychiatrist and bestselling author in Korea. The village runs scientific and well-designed health experience programs and offers immune-boosting meal plans under the guidance of professional instructors (Lifestyle Habit Improvement team). It helps you enjoy optimum rest, which cannot be experienced in cities, by detoxing from the digital world (free from the Internet, mobile phones, and the outside world) and experiencing intentional inconvenience. There are ten manually-created, beautiful trekking courses and eco-friendly facilities here. Healience Seonmaeul was chosen as a healing tourist destination by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2011.
