Route Daecheongho Obaengni-gil (대청호오백리길)

Daecheongho Obaengni (500ri) Road is a 220km walking path covering an area of Daejong (Dong-gu, Daedeok-gu) and Chungcheongbuk-do (Cheongwon, Okcheon, Boeun). In addition, the road includes the surrounding area of Daecheongho Lake like a natural community, small streams, trekking road, a forest trail, an old path, and so on. The Obangni (500ri) from the name comes from the distance of 500ri from Seoul or Busan from Daecheongho Lake. Centered in Daecheongho Lake, several wild mountains at an altitude of 200-300m and trees are bound in a round that appeals visitors to enjoy the every path including a date course, a meditation course, a trekking course, a family trip course to experience the rular culture and cultural exploration, a bike driving course and others with diffrent themes. Due to such things, the road got Asian Townscape Awards by UN-HABITAT. In the vicinity to the road, there are tourism attractions such as Daecheong Dam Water Culture Center, Daecheongho Sculture Park, Daecheongho Art Museum, Daecheongho Natural Ecology Center and others that are available to experience and use the facilities related to the road. In addition, there are historic cultural tourism spots like Cheongwon Cheongnamdae, Munui Cultural Properities Site, Boeun Songnisan Mountain, Okcheon Dujunbong Peak, a birthplace of Jeong Jiyong and a birthplace of Yuk Yeongsu ane more spots.
