How to Save Money While Traveling in Korea

Korea can be expensive, but here are proven ways to travel on a budget!

**Accommodation:**
- Guesthouses and hostels: 15,000-30,000 KRW/night
- Airbnb: Often cheaper for groups
- Jjimjilbang (Korean spa): 10,000-15,000 KRW to sleep overnight

**Food:**
- Convenience store meals: 3,000-5,000 KRW
- Kimbap restaurants: 2,500-4,000 KRW
- University areas have cheap eats
- Markets are cheaper than restaurants

**Transportation:**
- T-money card saves 100 KRW per ride
- Walk when possible (Korea is very walkable)
- KTX early bird tickets are cheaper

**Free Activities:**
- Palace entry is free in hanbok
- Many museums have free admission days
- Hiking trails are free

**Budget Daily Costs:**
- Backpacker: 50,000-70,000 KRW
- Mid-range: 100,000-150,000 KRW
- Comfortable: 200,000+ KRW
